Assignments. Exams. Summer <3
Past two months have been crazy!
I have not even started unpacking after my Bangkok trip, not to mention the boxes I shifted home from Semenyih.
Right now, I’m so in love with my new hair colour which the hairstylist has chosen. Couldn’t even count how many times I stood in front of the mirror admiring it. Something obvious but not to obvious. Couldn’t say the same for the haircut though. Oh well, at least I can save on shampoo now. By the way, only RM120 for dye and RM40 for haircut!
And today it was a me-me-me-day where i just laze around the house doing absolutely nothing. Total bliss.
Yea man, not until I started thinking about going to US! Before this it was more like yea, I’ll be leaving soon the end. But today I’ve briefly went through what I needed to do before I leave. Some sort of mental check which left me mental.
Visa collection. Credit card application collection. ISIC card application. Gym membership freezing. Insurance. Vaccination. Dental check-up. Some of the more important things
Then there’s the bags problem. If I were to bring a wheeled hand carry, that would leave me with 3 of them including check-in luggages. 2 hands 3 bags. You do the math. But I cannot not bring it because I just gotten it from Thailand just for this and it’s pink. Jackets also haven’t buy I heard it’s really cold although it’s summer. How now brown cow? I feel stupid talking about bags and clothes. I have more important things to worry about.
One final thing, parents will be reading the blog. In other words, I’m somewhat forced to update much more often than I am right now.

Any module which has the word DESIGN in it is so not my thing.
Throughout these 3 years of degree study, I think DESIGN is the only thing which is able to make me reach the level of giving up. Yea, it is that bad. DESIGN Project and Chemical Product DESIGN.
This was what exactly happened in high school with History Studies. I.just.refused.to.read.it.
My history teacher even split the class into two and obviously I was in the more obtuse group of students, rereading chapter 1 all over again while the rest of my smartie pants classmates proceeded with the syllabus.
Without a doubt, my history paper’s result wasn’t up on par with the rest of my subjects. But I am not complaining
And since I’ve (half) given up on my Tuesday’s paper, Chemical Product Design, I shall post up happy smiley pictures
(before I start crying over spilled milk)

Here are the products after discovering the smile detector function in the camera,

My pretty friend ![]()
With a huge pimple to boast about due to DESIGN project

Johnson trying to imitate my pretty friend.
That’s all for now. Applause for not having a single malay/chinese word in this entry.
Support our local industry
Am currently waiting for Akademi Fantasia to begin as I am typing this.
This week’s concert themed soundtrack, will be held at Istana Budaya …
(oh my oh my starting already. The contestants look really tiny while the place looks damn grand with the National Symphony Orchestra in front of the stage. But the one thing I seriously can’t stand is the new mc, AC Mizal yang suka syiok sendiri on the stage)
Anyway, just last night, I managed to catch Waris Jari Hantu on Astro Ria after falling in love with its soundtrack, Kasih Tercipta by Faizal Tahir (go download nyeh).

(Mulanya ingat cerita hantu ni)
Also known as “Heir of the Spiritual Tiger”, the movie tells about friendship, family bonds, cross-gendering and mysticism which surprisingly passed our stupid, ridiculous censorship board. Anyway, Rusdi Ramli did a great job in portraying his sissy character in the movie alongside Maya Karin in quite a number of scenes yang sangat-sangat menyuntik hati. Albeit most of the Malay movies have really simple storyline, they still have the ability to pierce through the heart without having the casts amplifying their emotions unlike Mandarin drama omg here cry there cry. So yea, there was this *ouch* felt from within and a tear or two is definitely inevitable. Moderation is definitely the key to go.
(oh my part 2: Nadia AF6’s performance so nice hoho)
Really, Malay movies aren’t as bad as you think they are (though Malay series are a whole different story). No lie you one.
Indonesian movies are also not bad, not bad at all maybe because I love the language and Indons are generally cuter while the only Thai movie I have watched is Iron Lady ages ago. So no comment full stop.
(Oh my part 3: show going to end already)
Malaysian Dreamgirl, Estranged, So You Think You Can Dance?, Sepet, Akademi Fantasia, Siti Nurhaliza, Battle of the Bands, Anuar Zain.
Yes a lot of us complain how they are not as great as the international ones but what made them stood out is the chop that says it all; BUATAN MALAYSIA, by Malaysian for Malaysian <3 hahaha cliche sungguh. But no matter how much some of you might complain, you still watch/listen to them la don’t need to deny boo.
In conclusion, local shows, movies, music etc. are really getting better and better and they totally rock!
ps i *heart heart heart* indonesian/malaysian music damn a lot ok so must support (this is why i can never ever be a lawyer, what kind of reasoning is that pft). and few days back i watched anugerah planet muzik (some award thingamajig gabungan msia, singapore and indo). babi i know you all don’t care. ok bye bye time to start studying for my next paper. one whole day went down the drain tsk tsk tsk.
Truth be told, I AM quite bias but whatever floats my boat man.

Anugerah Industri Muzik 15, one of Malaysia’s most prestigious award show has just ended too.
Suki (OIAM winner) won Most Promising Artist
- which I expected Dafi to win actually, since I’ve not been hearing much about Suki after she won OIAM.
Faizal Tahir (OIAM first runner-up), the biggest winner of the night went home with Best New Artist, Best Vocal Performance (Male), Best Rock Album and Album of the Year!
and finally
Kaer Azami (AF2 finalist) won SONG OF THE YEAR with Izinku Pergi <33333
We are slowly catching up (or maybe ahead hoho) with the Indonesia’s music industry. One thing that differentiate these two is the level of diversity and creativity shown by our local acts such as Pop Shuvit (download Mara Bahaya) and those under the KRU production.
And you must be one of my super layan friends if you have managed to reach this far.
