5/3/08

The brother has been going on and on about this place known as Lookout Point, Hulu Langat after he got back home from that said place on Valentine’s Day. So that’s the reason why I’ve chosen to celebrate my birthday there.

And no, Weng Hoe isn’t strong. I’m just light :P

Since I’ve uploaded these pictures into photobucket last week… letak je la

and then some of us went up to the tower for some apparently ‘better’ view.

I have never liked mixing different groups of friends together. And I don’t know why I never bother dressing up on my birthday (which I’ll regret later on).

So yea, on the eve, I had a bbq party over at my place with the high school friends.

And it’s just superduperly great that even though we barely keep in touch with each other, we are still as close (if not closer) as when we were 4 years back then.

Coincidentally, my birthday falls on election day!

Seriously, it would be awesome to be able to vote!

But it doesn’t matter, because I worked as a polling agent in some school located in PJ with Yun and Shun.

So, the day started when we were dragged by my mum at 7 in the morning although our shift was from 10 till 12pm. And in that 3 hours of free time, we goyang kaki in the coffee shop, helped out the pink penguins with their registration for 5 minutes, took some Barisan National freebies, tried to decorate my car with BN and DAP flags, gossip, tried sleeping, read newspaper and continue gossiping again.

At 10am, we were brought into the school ground by Uncle Chong, with us wearing some SPR passes.

I was in charged of the room which accommodates voters of 60-75 years of age. Basically, my job is just to cancel off people’s name from the list I’ve been given to and report the total number of voters later on. Super easy somemore can talk to my partner and sms Yun and Shun who were in the other rooms.

Anyway, quite a number of the elderlies came to vote with their grandchildren (as shown in the picture above), walking sticks, wheelchair, maids yada yada, hoping to make a change for this country and I was really touched by them.

How I know they were voting for a change, you may ask. Because these elderlies didn’t have the strength to fold the ballot properly and their choices were disclosed clearly since they were dropping it into the transparent ballot boxes.

It’s nice to see how (almost) everyone is moving towards the same goal regardless of their race e.g. non-Chinese voted for DAP. But I’m still with my stand that people should vote based on that person who is running and not the party he or she is representing. (yala yala i’m still emoing about the lost of leehwabeng to gwoburneloh dsh)

By the looks of how problems have already occured with the swearing of Menteri Besar, we should pray that it doesn’t get worst than it has gotten.

Whatever it is, congrats Malaysia for denying BN’s 2/3 majority and let us hope this is really for the better :)

Wee! More cupcakes. This time they are from Cheese.

Yups. 2/3 of my cakes are from cuppacakes. What coincident! Really pretty albeit too sweet for my liking.

And since Choon May and I both share the same birthday and it was Ronnie’s birthday, we decided to all blow the cake!

So there you go, my 21st birthday :D

And the presents are really lovely especially the cards. Love you all <3

For the Love of Food

14 March, 2008 at 1:00 am (gatherings, random)

*edited*
nah. here’s a nicer version of the event clicketyclickclick.

***

Last Thursday, I was tricked *cough* to go to Klang for seafood where I almost died of embarrassment.
It’s like how I would follow that piece of siu yuk in front of me and just jump off the cliff. Do you or do you not get the picture? Cartoons always show T_T

 Anyway, that’s not the point.

With only 3 hours of sleep, I went off from Semenyih, to Subang, and then to Klang again! Just for bak kut teh!!! Like omg, food over beauty sleep.

We really are a grumpy bunch in the morning.

This is the dried style bak kut teh. Don’t think you can find this in Subang Jaya because I never knew bak kut teh can be served dried.
I know i know….fabulous thinking skills.

The norm.

The former one was quite nice but apparently it isn’t the best in Klang yet.

Kohi with his out-of-bed-hair

Yaobang with his masterpiece. Roses made from serviette.

Quek and I then dared each other to each give a rose to the couple working at the restaurant.
Video below but nothing much actually. Just some self entertainment.

The lady in pink cap is the mother to the son if I’m not mistaken.

On the way back to my place, Soon Seng and I then cerobah masuk Lynn’s house.

Owner in UK, so have to visit cat to melepaskan rindu <3

Vote Hannah Yeoh of Democratic Action Party for Subang Jaya

3 March, 2008 at 7:12 pm (random)

4 years back, there wasn’t much hooha before the election day in Subang Jaya just because Lee Hwa Beng was obviously going to get that seat. Heck, he even won without competing.

But this year, it’s going to be different. Because we will be seeing two new faces, both women, both their names I have never heard of before this.

So I guess both parties have a 50/50 chance of winning which make the whole thing so exciting!

Anyway, here’s a video made by Jolene’s brother.

DAP taiko, Lim Kit Siang, will be meeting the folks of Subang Jaya tonight in support of Hannah Yeoh at 11pm.

Date : Monday 3rd March 2008
Time : 9 p.m – 12 p.m.
Speakers : Lim Kit Siang, Gobind Singh Deo (DAP Puchong Parliamentary seat), Edward Lee (DAP DUN Bukit Gasing) and Nik Nazmi (PKR DUN Seri Setia)
Location : USJ 12/2 , 12/2F, 12/2E Padang

Oh oh when I told my mum about Gobind Singh, she got all excited cause this gobind fella is the son of Karpal Singh, ex DAP taiko.

And not to forget Lee Hwa Beng of Barisan Nasional for Kelana Jaya!!! Yes, that cute smiley uncle who has done a lot (except for that stupid bird beside the round-a-bout la) for us, Subang Jaya-ians. So do continue to show your support!

Step Up 2: The Streets

2 March, 2008 at 3:45 am (reviews, sweat)

Last night, we had a very special guest with us for dinner and movie :)
And it’s always nice to be able to click with your good friend’s boyfriend :D (although I knew him since form 3, but that isn’t the point)

Anyway, step up 2 was awesome!!! Super heart the final rain performance! Followed by the one in the train and then salsa. Just left me in a state of awe. <3333333333

As I was feeling so dancy after the movie, I decided to do para-para wtf, in the kitchen, at 2ish in the morning. What to do…I don’t know how to do streetdance ma.

I’m so not gonna upload the video.

Lou sang recognises no season.

Yee sang courtesy of Joyce. Maybe TCC is suffering from some kind of Chinese New Year abstinence syndrome.

Then, some of us went to join our fellow coursemates to surprise Kah Peng on his 22nd birthday.

The wait-ees.

People got bored after awhile and started feeling horny.
There was actually a die which shows 6 different sex position. So, they were just demonstrating one of them la.

And here’s Kah Peng, one of the nicest and smartest guy in class.

It’s a good thing the cake was meant to be eaten. Cake on people no more.

“I will remember who has taken my virginity.” lol
