Battleground

21 October, 2007 at 3:09 am (reality shows, university)

Battleground, touted as the first ever street dance competition in Malaysian TV history has finally started!!!!

Guess which team I’m rooting for!

RACKEN FORCE OF COURSE~!!!
Which consists of DENNIS, Shake, Becky and Nikki as the team leader
All from So You Think You Can Dance.
Oh, and do you know that Shake is from SMK Seafield too?

But the biggest surprise was seeing Fellest on tv who was there as a judge!

Anyway, 2 weeks ago, I’ve attended this 6 hours street dance workshop by Urban Groove Dance Network in Notts and Fellest was one of the instructors on the first day. You should see how Ronald and Hou Yang imitated the girls :P

Then on the second day, came another instructor. “Cheh, today’s one not that cute also.”

But it’s a totally different story when he starts doing his thing.

Since I have the hots for guys who could dance with style, he suddenly became like 100x cuter my gosh.
Towards the end, I was just sitting there looking at hot break-dancers when me myself was supposed to learn how to do this 6 steps break-dance move.

Seremban UGDN Chief Instructor - Hu. Looks a lil bit like Yenson hor?
I also have his number…wee~! The perks of being the treasurer :D
But now it sucks because the club’s account isn’t balanced…I have more registration fees than members T___T

Getting back on track. The one thing which I didn’t like about this competition is how they are using Chinese language(Mandarin especially just because I don’t understand it) as their medium. How bout those Malay and Indian bboys and bgirls huh?

Oh well, at least I’m happy that I know most of the terms used; popping, locking, scooby doo run yada yada.

Battleground will air on Astro Wah Lai Toi (Channel 311) every Saturday at 7.30pm starting 20 October 2007. Ten teams have been shortlisted and there will be eight preliminary rounds. The finals will be telecast live on Dec 15 at 8pm.
