Monday 17/9

3rd year started off with Multicomponents Separation who is taught by a fantabulous Ph.D holder who has a much more fantabulous command of English. status as statoos, a as air, determine as determYne(?), cincai = =” and many many more, which I’ve learned to tolerate (I know my English not that good also la but I’m not the one giving a lecture in front of 100+ students).

And the other day I was having a meeting with Dr Hanson when she came in and started blabbering for quite some time. After she left,
“Do you have any idea what she’s saying?”
“Erm…not really.”
“Oh, thank god! I thought I was the only one who couldn’t! I was basically just guessing what she’s saying throughout the entire conversation.”

Anyhow, here’s the first batch of pictures of the last academic year!

my pumps are so cute right right?

Then in the evening, due to the horrible jam in Semenyih, we couldn’t make it to KLIA to send Chui San off. So we made our way to the latest shopping mall in Kajang, Metro Point!

Now there’s no need for me to go back Subang anymore on the 31st for Baskin Robbins. A big dilemma here, should I be sad? Or should I be happy?

Then, it’s KLIA to send Lynn and the coursemates off.

Jumpin’ shot.

Hahaha. Mana ShanK?

People are happier when they are 99% sure their double chins will not be shown in pictures.

These guys are so NOT strong cause Lynn fell down in the end :D

The 3 of us were trolley-ing for quite some time, running from McD to KFC with people staring

Seafield gang

You might think that Tony is leaving with all the hugs he’s getting. But the truth must be told; they are just gays who will still be in Malaysia.

Uni gang.

Unimates

This time, the atmosphere was totally opposite from the usual. Everyone was so happy and there wasn’t any crying scene.

Quote Joey, “It’s so weird because I’m so hyper right now, but I’m actually crying in the inside.”

ps Reached home safely(thank Buddha) in 15 minutes no thanks to Timothy.

Tuesday 18/9

Told you classes are that boring!

It’s also my first night staying in Semenyih after spending 8 hours(spread out over 2 days) to blardy clean my room.

Wednesday 19/9

-mental block- only remember sleeping in the computer lab.

Thursday 20/9

On a very very fine morning, a friend drove his/her car into a manhole. So the best idea(girls’ idea here mind you) is to gather the whole kampung(I think there were 15 of us) to help carry the car right? But all we needed were a couple of men, a wooden door and some metal stuffs to do the work. So the rest of us were just there cheering them on.

The hole beneath the wooden door.

The pros. I’ve also learnt to always pump my spare tyre.

Us shielding away from the scorchy sun. I hope that isn’t my tummy but just extra cloth T__T

This will be the only coursemate from UK in my whole 3 years of university life :(

Spotted wearing cute socks!

Don’t even wanna talk about Thursday night full stop.

Tuesday 25/9

It’s Mid Autumn Festival! As AlfredLoklok was craving for Kajang’s famous satay, Alwyn, Jason and I put aside our priorities (mine of course was going back to Subang la what else) just to accompany our poor friend :P

KL — Kajang — Semenyih — Uniten — Kajang — Semenyih — Subang. That’s about 150 km dei!

And Uniten is so huge! It’s like a town of it’s own. Signboards, buses, lake, mosque. Nottingham fails kau kau in comparison. They even need to take a bus to go from one class to another. And here I am complaining about the amount I need to walk from my car to class.

About midnight, a couple of us in Semenyih decided to take a stroll around the uni’s lake with our lanterns.

Wednesday 26/9

As Sonia will be leaving soon, we had a small lil PE3 gathering in Williams.

Thursday 27/9

Hohoho. Today I’ve managed to drag Hou Yang along to join the dance club! So now I’m in the dance and ace club! Let’s hope I’ll attend all those ballroom/hip hop/pop n lock/breakdance classes!

I’ve also received my design project! The introduction is so scaryfying; The final year design project represents the most challenging and extensive piece of project work that you have undertaken to date.

Sigh, it’s the only year I’m feeling so enthusiastic but with the heavy workloads I already have, guess I won’t be able to do much.

***

Won’t be blogging anymore. It’s only week 2 and everyone is already studying!

Group projects are the ultimate killer, with at least 3 hours of group meetings with our supervisors per week. Haven’t included meetings with group members

Surprise surprise! First week of uni (read: 45 hours in Semenyih spread throughout 4 days) actually turned out to be fun. Guess this happens when you have rock bottom expectations.

Classes are still a total bore though. Lauren and I skipped class and ended up surfing for clothes and sleeping in the computer lab :P

A long ass a.k.a detailed a.k.a. eatshitsleep post some other day. I haven’t even gotten the time to facebook :(

Anyway, here’s a very very very long overdue video.

I love you, Lynn.

Did my 4 months summer break just pass me by like that?

It’s goodbye holiday and hello to the final year of my degree!

Dread going back  But it’s o-k! Just 8 more months to go!

As you can tell, I am so not ready to go back! I haven’t even started shifting my stuff over and my Semenyih’s room is in a total mess! With thick layers of dust and fungus all over the place, it sure is going to take the whole day to clean that place up! Oh, and I forgotten spiders! The horror!

Gotta run now. The mother and grandmother have been doing great damages to my eardrums with the constant nagging.
What’s there to pack anyway? I’m coming home on Monday and Tuesday nyehehe.
And how am I supposed to sleep now when my internal biological clock is so screwed up.

xoxo

Launch

15 September, 2007 at 5:03 am (events, reviews, sweat, thoughts)

Walking up the stairs would leave me breathless. Blood rush to the brain could make me see stars. Blardy blood donation caused me to experience my first and second blackout ever in my life, all in a day, not to forget a one week recovery period.

Though the fitness genes are pretty strong in the family and also the extended family, sports and Khor Yenli never go hand in hand. Strutting in heels for hours, entering every single shop in the mall. Now that’s exercise!

Though I’ve so-called went for squash training under Mr Ong for 2 years, most of my time was actually spent outside court. Even if we were to be in the court, it means sitting down playing balls and knocking our shoes together. Lessons, water fights in the toilet, angry cleaners, play room, 100 plus, Hong Kong feet, squash balls, Lake Garden, Mr Ong (he even passed us a picture of his son so that we can ask him for his autograph *swt*), Keegan, Cheryl, Ong Beng Hee, SJ bitch, Mr Friday(?), van aunty, longkong, 7-11, tattoo, tennis court, seniors, fishes etc etc. I guess these are the things that actually made me enjoyed squash so much. Sadly, it was never ever because of the game itself.

Though yoga may seem to be the solution, it was definitely a big no no! During A-Level (or was it first year of uni?), I dreaded to go for my weekly yoga classes so the fees I’ve paid in advance went down the drain. Yoga – slow, repetitive and very very very yawn-inducing. Unless of course the instructor is like my fav<3 yoga instructor, then it’s a whole different story.

Anyway, during my last summer break, my mother has gotten me a one month pass to Fitness First where I found the bestest best exercise in the whole wide world! A group of people working out together to non-repetitive routine with music and instructors with hot body! They are the Les Mills Programmes which can be separated into 3 categories, my category that is.

  1. Ultimate favourite would be Body Jam followed by Body Step

  2.  Based on instructors, mood, condition – Body Pump, Body Balance, RPM

  3. Once in a blue moon thing – Body Attack and Body Combat

Would I fork out 1/4 of my monthly allowance just for this? A definite YES! Gym membership over designer bags anytime dei! Fine fine, my mother is paying for my membership and I’m still not getting that Coach bag. But you get my point la.

Anyhow, it’s time again for yet another Les Mills Quarterly Launch! This time it was held at the latest True Fitness’ branch in Jaya 33.

So being a typical Malaysian, it was a must to try out the new toilet in town (loosely translated from san si hang).

It’s located in a shopping complex. Hence, the parking fees. Luckily I don’t need to pay for parking when I go to Taipan’s TF which in term of size wins hands down.

But they have a DJ booth!

The jam along Federal Highway was horrible! It was already time for recovery when I reached.

The instructors dancing to Rihanna’s Umbrella which is the latest Body Jam recovery track. (Lynn: That’s Clement on the left! Remember him?)

Next it was Body Step with Roland and Barney.

Spot me! =)

It was also Barney’s birthday! The jelly so cute!!! And he’s 35 wei! Still so fit.

Was supposed to post pictures of the launch but ended up with a wordy post. Maybe I should end it with something cliche too.

Exercise has a purpose which I now understand. I feel the happiest I feel all day when I pirouette home soaking in sweat. =)

Though I’m still extremely weak in terms of strength and stamina but who cares! As long as I enjoy the process, the final results aren’t that important right right? Come to think about it, the only thing which has improved are my techniques and too bad it isn’t the reading on the weighing scale T_T (I.Must.Not.Care.)

Exercise is happiness.

my poor lil Kelisa

4 September, 2007 at 5:40 pm (roar)

Streamyx rocks my socks! It has been so shitty for the past couple of days that the only thing I was able to do is Facebook-ing.

Anyhoo, last Sunday, was a long long day.

Started off with Shopaholics Unite with Yun & Lynn and then to Subang Parade with Joyce & Lauren.

And here comes the interesting part.

Upon hearing a loud snap in front of Joyce’s place, we examined the car for any damages that might have caused it. Everything seemed perfectly normal. But it didn’t seem to feel normal though.

“It’s okay, home is just a stone throw away. I’ll  just drive back and check it later.”

But after getting on to the main road, it felt like my wheels were falling apart and my steering wheel was really ‘loose’.

I became even more panicky when stupid Malaysian drivers started to horn when I stopped by the road side so fine, I’m going to drive home no matter what!

And my car actually broke down!!! Right smack in the middle of a u-turn causing a long trail of cars behind. Serves you people right wtf.

In a way I need to be thankful for blocking everyone. If not I wouldn’t have gotten the help I needed. Help here means a phone call home cause my pathetic phone left 1 cent and men power to push my car to a side (still in the u-turn region though).

So I was just sitting in the car waiting for my parents to come and rescue me while everyone squeezed their way thru.

At this point, Soon Seng called(come to think of it, I don’t think I know why he did) while the MPSJ fellas arrived to check and push my car aside.

Then, my mum and bro arrived with only 2 bucks worth of credit *swt*. I don’t even have my AAM card with me and their number! Ladidiladida…talked to dad who took ages to locate my card…no more credit…*beepbeep*…dad sent RM30 credit to my phone wee…call AAM…waited…and waited…and waited.

I’ve always felt that sepet people have sharper vision due to the smaller area they are able to see at once :D . My cousin who saw us from far actually thought mum and I were king so-ing with my brother.

Self-entertained…

Can you see a really really faint rainbow???

Cousin’s new hairstyle.

Trying out the borders…

and also the panorama function. Fail kau kau wei.

After bout 1 hour, AAM man 1 reached, checked the car, called tow truck and left.

While sitting on the grass (still waiting!), it hit me that there’s no way my dad would know how to send over hp credits! So the only person left is SOON SENG!!! My mother was seriously impressed with you wei! Haha. Even I, someone who needed it badly didn’t even think about asking you to send some over. Thanks so much~!!!

This was how long it took for the tow truck to come.

The sis and I sheltered ourselves in the car and that’s my brother outside. Don’t understand why the rest would prefer to stand under the rain.

The arrival of the tow truck! I’ve never seen the whole process (Johnson’s one was different cause how was I supposed to pay attention when it’s at 5 in the morning!) before so I was being very jakun-ish like “oh wow the car is raising now wee” and “eh they’ll just crash into my car if they reverse right?”. I know I know…you don’t need to see it to know…it’s all common sense :P

My question was answered. Reversing into the workshop.

AAM man 2 removing whatever he needed to remove from the tyres.

“Nah, ambil ini sebagai kenangan,” said AAM man 2 while handing me the receipt.

Sigh. What a waste of 3 hours!!!

Anyway I would like to say that it isn’t my fault that the drive shaft broke…whatever that is.
