30 August, 2007 at 4:54 am (celebrations, eat shit sleep, money grows on trees, sweat)

After the usual dinner and cake-cutting session in conjunction with mummy dear’s birthday, Lynn and I then made our way to Swensen’s for …

Zhao Heng’s big bang 21!

“..ok Zhao Heng, after cutting the cake, then we go… what? You dunno bout the cake?”

Not only has the ’surprise’ been unveiled, the strong wind just made it so blardy hard for us to keep the flames alive.

Look at KOHILAN and Zhao Heng bwahahaha :D

And this is for those who have the same problem as me ;)

Here’s one of everyone. Even the photographer is in it.

Stole ONE picture and ONE sentence

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Today has got to be the most pain I’ve encountered in the month of August!

  • Last night I was stuffing myself with loads of food to overcome the pain due to gastric. But today I found out it was a pre-menstrual pain instead. *swt*

  • Yenli’s theory – My muscles are weak (at least that’s how it feels) since I’ve rock climbed yesterday. Because of that, it’s also very prone to injury right? So when I did a u-turn today, I experienced that sudden painful muscle pull. No words can describe it okay. And I suspect it’s torn now since I can’t even open my room door without feeling the pull. T___T

  • 5 bruises on the legs

And the highlights of my rather uneventful day are;

  • seeing Lauren for that very very short period of time and,

  • when the brother bought…

    Love is Cinta original dvd!
It’s such a sad movie~! Will do a review soon cause I need to sleep badly.

The end. I’ve just did an eat shit sleep post. Double boo.

    ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

What do you think about this?

RM516. Should I splurge on it should I??? Josh has a friend who can get it from the states. But getting this baby would mean no shopping for a month~! Maybe 3 months without both shopping and food if everything goes well in UK. Won’t say anything just yet in case I jinx it. How now brown cow? Now I wish I’ve at least worked for a month or 2 during summer break :P

Yen’s Mum B’day Surprise

27 August, 2007 at 9:52 pm (celebrations, guest blogger)

Hey there. Betcha can guess that i’m not yenli right from de title [really obvious, unless u're as blur as yours truly, ;) ]. Anonymous Guest Blogger(AGB) here under duress from de true blogger *swt* A lack of pics can be discerned here, an oversight on my part. Had no idea “I” needed to blog any of this.

ABG’s POV:

Got a call from Yen asking if i was free. Turned out she needed a ride to Cake Sense to buy 2 b’day cakes for her mum & a fren. Not to mention my IC card as proof to get a 31% discount on de cake. Feelin used here…

LOL. JKJK It’s great that I’m able to help out ;)

Waited ard 45 mins past de appointed time b4 we could finally set off. (Didn’t feel so great then…*swt*)

1st Stop (Cake Sense):

We could only choose from de display.

Fortunately there was quite a variety of choc types to pick from.

After much agonising, Yen finally decided to go wif the 2nd (Converture Chocolate) & 3rd (Costa Rica Chocolate) cakes from the left in de bottom row. De final decision on who gets which cake shall be left up to Yen’s mum. Smart move on Yen’s part. *thumbs up*

2nd Stop (Florist):

We dropped by a cheap looking florist in SS14. Yen wanted to give her mum a surprise at de office. So sweet… Yen wanted a dozen blood red doses for her mum. So romantic…

De illusion was shattered when de florist informed us it cost RM40 for a normal wrapping n RM60 for a fancy one. O.O Bloody EXP!!! RM20 xtra just for de special wrapping.

So in de end, Yen decided to go for 1/2 a dozen roses, specially wrapped for only RM35 (cheapskate, LOL).

A further RM9 was spent on an xtra heart deco n a card. (not so cheapskate, LOL)

For RM41 de bouquet looked pretty good, altho i’ve no right to judge. I haven’t bought any1 flowers since highschool days. We needed to bribe teachers back then for de xtra points ;)

Unfortunately, viewers can’t judge either as i forgot to take de pic of de final outcome. (Oopsie on my part, sorry Yen) Hence u guys can only see de pics of de roses sans “special” wrapping above.

3rd Stop (De B’day Lady’s office):

When we reached de office, she was agonising over how to proceed. She wanted to just leave the flowers wif de receptionist so her mum wouldn’t know that she didn’t spend money on delivery, LOL.

Hence, Yen’s “brilliant” idea to make me pose as a delivery gal. I had my doubts. I was dressed in a sports jacket, racer-back, shorts n beach sandals. In other words, nothing like how a decent delivery gal should be dressed like.

When I rang de bell, yen’s mum’s colleague let me in. De plan was doomed as this fella saw yen in my car as we were deciding how to go abt de surprise. He wondered why Yen didn’t just go in herself to spring de surprise. He even tried to persuade her to deliver de surprise herself. Fortunately, it turns out her mum was in a meeting so Yen asked de colleague to leave it on de desk as a surprise wif special instructions to not disclose her presence here. I have my doubts on that too…

>>> All-in-all it was a worthwhile outing. “Almost” everything Yen set out to do was accomplished. LOL. Yen’ll have to be de judge of that. Hope i got everything right Yen. If not de Edit opiton’s always there. ;)

The day I ran …

26 August, 2007 at 5:14 pm (random)

The MPSJ field, a place where I’ve marched walked on the track for 5 consecutive years …

… with the other two stooges.
(So darn hard to find Hari Sukan pictures okay! This will do just fine. Don’t know whose retirement party in the school’s ground)

14th of August 2003, that was the last time I set foot in the MPSJ field …

… where we were also in charged in the making of Ramly Burgers! My first and only time some more.

4 years later, I’m back again! This time for a totally different reason; Larian Merdeka SJ 2007!

Brings back memory, doesn’t it? Remember how everyone would go to KFC right after Hari Sukan? Le sigh.
Anyway look at the changes they have made! No more benches supported by rusty metals.

Warm-up session.

Walkathon/jogathon/marathon and mua don’t really go well together.

Guess I’m better off being the audience who doesn’t cheer that well either.

At the final line.

While waiting for the official result, we were being entertained by the convoy of 30 vehicles decorated with Jalur Gemilang.

And now the results …

Not bad eh 3rd placing?

Me looking forlorn. (Why sis so potong stim wan?)

Oh well, if you can’t beat them, join them.
“We’re all in this together…once we see…there’s a chance…that we have…and we take it…wild cats everywhere…wave your hands up in the air…ladidiladida”

High School Musical My Seafield Rocks!

25 August, 2007 at 2:16 am (events, star struck, thoughts)

I’m not Li-Lynn wtf. But I shall try my very best to keep her spirit alive wtf.

Huhuhu. This is a way way outdated post loaded with pictures and tons of videos of performances.

So, some of you may have known that my lil sister has joined the inter-school dance competition by Disney Channel with 9 of her friends where they were to dance to their own choreography to the song We’re All in This Together.

All these kids arr, with no dance experience at all and only a two-week period to practice, they blindly joined just because they love the movie so much.

They even managed to find 3 choreographers; Hamzah, Shikin and Dennis, though Dennis was only there for the first week of practice.

Bwahaha. Mengambil kesempatan to post this up :P . Dennis, mua and Teen Yi in Puan Too’s crib 9 years ago.

Autograph session wtf; this was what they did on their first day of practice.

After only 2 days of practice in the first week, a girl and 4 guys had already quit cause of their parents  . So had to drag 3 more guys to balance up the estrogen level.

Week 2 was a total madness I’m telling you! So many things, so little time.

On Friday, Hamzah, Shikin and I took 10 lil monkeys to 1 Utama to look for their costumes. Putting them together spells disaster! Nevertheless, a fun and different shopping trip.

Then it’s to The Curve on Saturday to find army pants for the guys.

Guess who brought the girls to Big Apple?!

We then went to Securities Commision to check out the first day’s audition…

… and finally went back to Seafield for their final rehearsal …

… which was still pretty messed up.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday is the day~!

Ma dad and brother freaking drove to Bukit Kiara at 6:45 am.  While me being me, only left the house at about 8am, with the grandmother :P

Our only friends …

Just because you are the only one I know who stays near there :) Thanks a lot! Red hair quite nice hor … but cannot wear purple clothes.

See see!!! I bet you dinch know I did something to his finger!

random: Few years back, it was Chinese New Year, my brother passed an angpao to Mr Joshua, then he came down and said this to me, “Thank you, AUNTY!” . Babi hutan kalimantan!

Us

51 out of about 140 teams competed on the first day. We had the second best seats in the house wei. Bestest best seats of course for camera man and judges la. 2 rows behind the judges (Linda Jasmine, hitz.fm dj and don’t know who)! And the mc’s voice is damn hot~!

The second day’s audition started off with SMK Bukit Jalil.

And then hor, on that day can see so many nice colourful clothes also.

Must learn some fashion tips from them wei.

The choir team from SMK Seafield was there too! Frankly speaking, it wasn’t good at all. Seafield’s cheerleading team competed on Monday and the bro said they were pretty good!

I love SEAFIELD~!!! There’s a sense of pride everytime I hear that name. I MISS MY HIGH SCHOOL YEARS! T___T

And tada … SK Seafield. *woots woots*

They weren’t that good but don’t they just look so cute~!!! And seriously from what I saw, they were the better half already. I know they never had a chance to win, seeing how 140 odd teams competing for that one winning spot. But what is important is that all of them had fun.

The mothers were crazy! As you can see from the video, a photographer actually stood up halfway and took pictures of the mothers who were seated together, screaming their lungs out.

After-audition pictures…

After seeing supporters who came on the first day with their banners, the cutie pie went back home and asked her father to make one for her too. Her daddy damn layan her ok. He actually did that board above from 9pm till 4 in the morning, lights included too.

10 dancers, 2 choreographers, 1 teacher and ??? parents. Got so many moustache men. One lil two lil three lil moustache men wtf

Then, sneaked out for an hour to send Brian back and to do some shopping with Lynn and Yun at Shopaholics Unite! Boohoo. By the time I reached, all the nice clothes were taken already.

Hair wtf

Anyhoo, here are the top 4 teams in this region.

 SMK Convent Bukit Nanas

SMK Sri Aman

SM Sri KDU my personal fav <3

Remember to lower down your volume please. Here’s the WINNER!!! The only top 4 team with very very cute primary school kids and non-cheerleading based dance steps; SK Convent Bukit Nanas! Guess who is their choreographer-cum-school teacher!

Guess

.

Guess

.

Guess

.

Noor from So You Think You Can Dance~!!!

So many (famous) people were there on Monday T_T But couldn’t wake up for it T____T

Actually I feel like blogging about how this kind of healthy competitions bring all the races together as one. Like how my sister’s team has 3 machans, 1 ah beng, 1 ah neh, 1 machin, 3 ah mois and 1 ah nin(???).

But then I’ve also realised that this only applies to primary school standard. So I have nothing to say now.

kthxbye

Shun’s 21st at Cafe Cafe

22 August, 2007 at 2:33 am (celebrations, guest blogger)

Hello. I’m Yenli wtf. Okay the ‘wtf’ gave it away. So I’m not Yenli after all. Unknown guest blogger dei. But you’re still going to read this post regardless of my identity,

Introductory picture. Let us proceed.

An hour late. While the other half of the attendees were famished, these people still had the nerve to camwhore.

Thank goodness the early birds had lush parisian furniture and romantic ambience as company.

Mirrors are our best friends. Yours too. Admit it.

9.56pm still don’t want to have dinner ar! Girls Ladies tsk.

Birthday girl and the men/boys/guys/androgynes I’m confused (chill la kidding only).

Titanic mantelpiece.

Lovers portrait wtf.

Everyone wants a turn with Shun!

Philosopher Kwong.

What better way to pass the time than to snap horrific ghostly photos of one another, with the toilet lamp. Clockwise from left: bebeghost, inasenghost, justaghost, pigighost (so cute lah wtf). Yes I’m amazed by how original I am too.

The beautiful birthday girl is twenty one.

You know how people learn not to make a fool out of themselves twice? Well, these two don’t. They’ve even managed to convert another to pose with brown things stuffed in their wide mouths. Makes you wonder what other brown things they’re capable of…er nevermind.

Spot 6 differences wtf.

No nasty comments here. In fact, this photo actually looks normal save for the lunar eclipse at the top right corner.

Poser shmosers. But classic nonetheless.

Houuu glam ar wtf. The cafe closes at 12am, yet they’re still practising narcissism at 12.10am.

We tried. Oops I meant they. I’m not in there.

All in all, the service was superb, and since the entire 1st floor was ours for the night, we had the perfect setting for the so-called amateur photoshoot. Frankly, the photos do little justice to the place itself. It had a vintage interior with crystals connected to threads hanging from the ceiling, reflecting the orange lighting to create a cosy yet plush atmosphere. And of course, we have to give credit to the birthday girl who went all out; and succeeded in stumbling upon the perfect little restaurant (snugged behind plants deliberately placed to shield its dark exterior and with no sign bearing its name) for a commemorable 21st birthday dinner. Who’d have ever thought the interior was palatial looking from the outside! Again, Happy 21st Birthday Lam Shun Chin girl :) .

~The End~

Cheun’s Farewell & Shun’s 21st

16 August, 2007 at 5:35 pm (celebrations)

The night started off with…

…a few rounds of…

…TABOO~! :D

With the DSLR (oOo….it stands for digital single-lens reflex camera) around, photo taking sessions were inevitable.

Multiply shots of a hysterical woman

A beautiful shot of Cheun’s oh-so-yummy farewell cake. Chocolate something something…

Groupies

It has only been 3 months but both Lynn and I have grown so much (not physically la). From…
the kids who used chocolate as toothpaste and fingers as toothbrush… (sorry, there’s always a need to resize ugly pictures)

…to the women who found out the wonders of serviettes. We still *heart heart* our chocolates though.

Then, we adjourned to Shun’s house,…

…where we braved through the woods wth.

And met Keith with his grandfather’s car.

At this point, we have no idea how to get in to the house to surprise Shun as her brother wasn’t in and all her doors were locked. So terpaksa camwhore while waiting for a plan.

Our mission kind of failed cause she saw us hiding behind a car when she came out after told to do so by Yun.

Here’s an video audio of the surprise.

Woots. 21 already!

MC ShanK with a cake for the birthday girl.

Oh oh. This is Hou Yang, a soon-to-be Nottingham(er?) from SEAFIELD :!:

Everyone minus Keith

Star of the night with the hunks guys

~ ~ ~

ps I accidentally flatten all the images together before I can extend the sofa further for some space for Yun :(

The record has been broken

13 August, 2007 at 5:02 am (emo nemo, thoughts)

I’m a person whose brain almost never function subconsciously to catch the lyrics to its song. The only way to know what the fella is singing about would be to look for it on the web or concentrate 200% when it’s being played. Though the latter one doesn’t work most of the time especially when it comes to the fast ones. sing-song-like-chu-chu-train-no-full-stop-wan

Although I’ve heard this song like a gazillion times, never once did I watch the music video or know the words to it. So between my channel switching, I managed to catch this video for the first time, from the very start :D

“Eh looks like the house from Green Day’s Wake Me Up When September End”

*ting tong ting ting tong*

“Intro so nice and sad leh”

Its effect became 10 times stronger when I see Avril in her long vintage dress playing it on the vintage grand piano  . Think it’s because of this, I’ve been ‘pulled’ to listen to what she’s singing about. Furthermore, her diction is clear and there isn’t any eye catching movements or objects which needed my attention.

As I was already concentrating on the lyrics, the images in front just seemed to flow along.

The most heart wrenching scenario is no doubt the one about dear grandpa who misses his lovely wife badly. Sigh, makes me feel like hugging him and wipe his tears away wth.

Bestest of the best saddest moment is when grandpa said, “I miss you”

Where I teared.

Another day, another round. Teared again…

Why oh why this song so nice wan?!?!

In my honest opinion, this is even more tear-inducing as compared to Because I’m A Girl by Kiss which was sang in Korean. Minus points for that. Boo.

The world needs more songs like these, where everyone can relate to!!!

:) ~ tiramissU ~)

You never know what you have until it’s gone.

I’ve always believed in that. It seemed logical enough.  Yet, I guess I will never fully realise just how deep the meaning of that one sentence really is until it happens. It’s like how I was always being warned about snatch thieves but being the ignorant self, I just had to learn it the hard way.

It’s just too darn easy to take things for granted. As humans, we all do, all the time. We expect things and we do not expect things to change, especially not in a sudden. And when it’s finally gone, only then we’ll regret it.

The biggest ‘thing’ I take granted for are my parents – the people I love most, thinking that they’ll always be around. I can’t for the life of me imagine NOT having them around.

Since di and mi are both working adults, we don’t really have much all-of-us-times. That explains why the brother and I try our very best to stay at home during the weekends though sometimes it means doing absolutely nothing, at least we are doing nothing together.

Durian feast…

7 August, 2007 at 5:44 am (gatherings)

… which I only joined in after it’s over cause I’m not exactly a fan of it and no way I’m going to have it as my dinner~!

they have mangosteen, cempaka cempedak and cocoa too

It’s my first time eating (more like licking) cocoa. Doesn’t taste like chocolate at all!

Shouldn’t have paste it all together. Can’t even see our faces. (not in picture: Chin Cheun & Zheng Yu)

Besides that, it’s also my very first time playing TABOO

And O M G so damn fun wei I want to play again~!
